Excursion
On September 25th, 8:30 til 17:30, we will offer a tour to visit Kazimierz Dolny in the morning and to have a sightseeing tour in Lublin in the afternoon. Kazimierz Dolny is located about 80 km from Lublin.
Kazimierz Dolny is a charming, romantic town called the Pearl of the Renaissance and the Town of Painters. Picturesquely situated along the Vistula river, it summons painters and photographers. The city tour may take an hour or a few days. Most groups decide to climb the Hill of Three Crosses, which offers the most spectacular panorama of the town. Most views can be seen from the remains of the Castle of King Casimir the Great and the 20 m high Tower – the oldest building in Kazimierz Dolny. We visit the parish church – Fara (if possible – the church is a functioning temple, we can enter outside the masses and services) – a temple in the style of the Lublin Renaissance, in which we will see the oldest organs in Poland. Our walk covers the market squares: the main town square of Kazimierz, with a well, Gdańsk tenement houses and the houses of the Przybylo brothers, and Jewish square – with the Kosher Butcher house and the former synagogue.
